5 Ways to Ruin your Witness at Work: Number 3

Number 3: Be a Burden There is a word for when a person seeks to be given something that they did not work for: Entitlement...and it kills teams. For the Working Believer, our time at work is best spent working heartily for the Lord, serving our earthly masters with sincerity of heart, and being productive and fruitful. When we allow the world to infiltrate our hearts, we can quickly turn to a self-first mentality, justify our laziness, and then become embittered by all the things that we do not have, whether we earned them or not. Do you want to grow personally and professionally on your team? Don’t be a burdensome Sluggard! Find a way to add value, and bless those with whom you serve.

Belief is Precious: Guard it!

The belief and trust of a child is are precious things. Christian parents, please be cautious. Traditions of Santa, or Elf on a Shelf, may be fun, but in reality, they are simply delusions. Lies. If we have to foster and encourage real belief in fictitious characters to create the wonder and excitement of Christmas, I wonder do we truly know the wonder and excitement of an infinite God putting on finite flesh to fulfill a requirement we could never achieve to gain a favor with God we could never earn?
