One day at a time

You will spend half of your waking hours in this life at work...don’t waste it waiting for the weekend! Every weekend, we have the chance to gather with the body of believers at our local churches to worship, pray, study the Word of God, and hear the Word preached. But let’s face it... Being a Christian at church is easy. Monday is where the real challenge! Do we seize the opportunity to live what we say we believe? Do we see our work as a burden, or a Blessing? Do we look at our Direct Reports, Coworkers, Supervisors, and Managers as irritants, or as people made in the image of God, lost and hopeless if they are without a Christ in the world? Do we care enough about Eternity to invest in them, engage them, get to know them in hopes of finding out if they know Jesus? Do you model a Christ-follower before then in your Attitude and Quality of work? Are we the Working Believers we are called to be? Our life is a vapor, and we are not promised a single moment more in this life. If you do not take advantage of the opportunities to serve others, live the Gospel, and share the love and grace of a Christ with those God has put directly in front of you at work... ...what are you waiting for?

Belief is Precious: Guard it!

The belief and trust of a child is are precious things. Christian parents, please be cautious. Traditions of Santa, or Elf on a Shelf, may be fun, but in reality, they are simply delusions. Lies. If we have to foster and encourage real belief in fictitious characters to create the wonder and excitement of Christmas, I wonder do we truly know the wonder and excitement of an infinite God putting on finite flesh to fulfill a requirement we could never achieve to gain a favor with God we could never earn? Christ, born of a virgin, Emmanuel, God with us, living a perfect life to fulfill the law on our behalf, taking the full wrath and judgment of God for our sins that we could never survive, conquering death that would see us eternally defeated, and rising again to grant us life eternal with the Father which, without The righteousness of Christ, we would never know.
