The Cure for Anxiety
An anxious heart is the result of a lack of thankful prayer.
There are many things about which we can worry in life: work, pending promotions, performance reviews, deadlines, quotas, family, kids, bills, taxes, the unknown...and so on.
However, there are also many things about which we can be thankful: another day, fulfillment of basic needs, the Cross, Forgiveness, the Grace of God, His Word, the freedom to worship the Lord and read the Scriptures.
By focusing on the latter, we will often smother any anxious thoughts because we remember Who holds tomorrow, and Who holds our hand; namely, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
